Luxury watch retailer Tourbillon plans to open its first U.S. boutique at South Coast Plaza on Sept. 1, the mall said. The retailer carries brands like Omega, Breguet and Blancpain. It will be located in the Nordstrom wing on the second floor.
PureBeauty Boutique & Salon is slated to open Friday, Aug. 29. It will sell hair-care and nail-care products as well as cosmetics and bath and body products. It will be on the first level near Macy’s Home.
Balenciaga plans to open its first O.C. store on Sept. 19. The Spanish fashion house will occupy a 2,231-square-foot space — its fourth boutique in the U.S.

I can remember when South Coast Plaza used to have Big 5 sporting goods, Eddie Bauer, a knife store, and more regular-guy type of stores.
Now it’s just filled with uppity, pretentious stores. Granted it has a Sears, a Del Taco and a McDonalds, but my point is that it’s transformed over the years from more middle-class to being embarrasingly snobby.
