Mervyn’s gives liquidation sales date for last 9 O.C. stores

Mervyn’s said Thursday that it received bankruptcy court approval to close its remaining 149 stores and will begin the going-out-of-business sales on Nov. 1.
The 149 stores include nine in Orange County. For the list and addresses of those local stores, CLICK HERE.
The company previously announced the closure of 26 stores, including four in O.C. The liquidation sales for these stores began late August and are still going on. To get a list of these four local stores, CLICK HERE.
The 59-year-old retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July. Mervyn’s stores average 80,000 square feet.
