Virgin Megastore at The Block at Orange is closing, according to signs at the shop.
It’s the only Virgin Megastore in Orange County and one of four in California, according to the retailer’s Web site.
On Tuesday, signs at the store said 20 to 40 percent off all CDs, 20 to 30 percent off all DVDs, up to 30 percent off all games and 40 percent off all magazines. Clothes were also discounted.
The store’s hours are Monday through Thursday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, it is open from 10 a.m. to midnight.
It’s unknown why the store is closing and when it will shutter. The corporate office of Virgin Megastore could not be reached for comment.

Bummer, but sign of the times. This is the store where they did the Pam Anderson scene in “Borat.”
That’s depressing, but we all know that record stores are a thing of the past.
so where will I buy all my 8 tracks!!!!????
the domino effect at the block has just begun. this place will look like a ghost town a few years from now.
With all these people illegal downloading music now movies…these kinda of stores are dead
