Candle retailer Pure Light recently opened at the Irvine Spectrum Center.
The Laguna Beach-based business opened its second store near Nordstrom on June 26, said Pure Light owner Judy Kelly. It opened its first store in Laguna Beach in May 2007.
On July 9 from 3 to 7 p.m., the Spectrum store spanning about 1,300 square feet will hold a grand opening. There will be light refreshments and register-to-win free gift drawings. Winner will not need to be present to win. Prizes include a candle party for six, which retails for $150.
Pure Light is a create-your-own-candle studio. Customers can choose from 30 mold shapes, 50 fragrance choices and hundreds of embellishments. Candles retail from $8 to $40. The embellishments are extra. Candle party packages are available for various celebrations such as birthdays, girls’ night out and for Scout troops.
Earlier this year, another candle chain shuttered all 28 stores, including 3 O.C. locations. To find out who, CLICK HERE.

I saw this store once before and took note of it. I was inspired to go there after reading her story about why she opened the place. I’m glad there will be one opened at the Spectrum now, I will definitely have to go.
Thanks for the info!
