A small gauntlet of barricades at South Coast Plaza will get some relief mid-October when Henri Bendel takes one down and opens a new store.
The 2,356-square-foot boutique will be in the former Nine West space on the first level in the Bloomingdale’s wing. It will sell only Henri Bendel private label cosmetics, home fragrances, body fragrances, handbags, fine and costume jewelry, cashmere sweaters, flip flops, scarves and travel accessories, according to South Coast Plaza.
The South Coast Plaza store will be the company’s only Orange County location, according to the Costa Mesa mall. Henri Bendel is also opening a store at the Beverly Center at about the same time. A similar store is already open at Fashion Valley in San Diego.
