Los Cerritos Center recently named six stores for its 36,500-square-foot expansion.
Three of those stores will be new to the shopping center: Foreign Exchange (4,951 square feet), Love Culture (9,500 square feet) and True Religion Brand Jeans (1,765 square feet). All three are clothing stores.
Two stores will be relocating from elsewhere in the mall: Carlton Hair International (1,225 square feet) and Vision Shoes (2,116 square feet). MAC Cosmetics (1,566 square feet) will be the sixth store in this new expanded wing. MAC opened a temporary store in May at Los Cerritos Center, but closed that location shortly thereafter.
All of the retailers in the expanded area are expected to open around the same time that the bigger Nordstrom opens, which is projected to be the first week of May 2010. The new Nordstrom, which will be in the same area as the old Robinsons-May building, will span 139,075 square feet — which is more than 21,000 square feet larger than the existing department store.
The 36,500 square foot expanded space will also house two more stores and one restaurant. Those leases have not been signed.
The current square footage of Los Cerritos Center is more than 1.1 million.
